She toured Paris, France and Italy and other places of interest in Switzerland during the weeks when she had leave. ![]() She spent 2017 living in Switzerland and attended French classes at a language school. A recognised high school diploma was one of the visa requirements, which her GED® credential satisfied. She also judged at various district and provincial competitions.ĭuring this time she planned to travel and work overseas, so she put up her profile on an au pair website and within a short time she decided to take up the offer of a family living in Switzerland. Meanwhile her gymnastics club grew from one to two classes and she got hired to coach gymnastics at her old club too. The day before the leaving for the gym competition, Lucille wrote the SAT and qualified for a letter of foreign conditional exemption from Universities South Africa. During this time she also studied for the SAT – the American college entrance tests. Lucille was able to dedicate the rest of that year to a lot of training for gymnastics and she qualified to represent South Africa in double-mini trampoline at the international Region 5 gymnastics competition in December 2015. Percentile rank of 99 means that 99 percent of graduating high school seniors earned the same score or lower. She started studying for the GED® early in 2015 and finished writing her tests in May that year, scoring in the 99th percentile for 3 of them! She earned her matric equivalent in 3 months! At age 16, she had also just started a new business, coaching gymnastics to a group of 4-8 year olds. So set your heart to accomplish this goal and accept nothing less, then watch your abilities amaze you, and feel the empowering liberation as you hold your GED certificate in your hand. Remember, even when things are tough and life seems all uphill, you have the ability and power within yourself. At age 15, Mary Lue left school to get married. It gives you the power to achieve anything you set your mind to and put your heart into accomplishing. Mary Lue is an 8th grade teacher, mother of two and grandmother of seven. ![]() Will it be fulfilling? Absolutely! Does it give you the power to change your future? Absolutely! You suddenly understand you are in control of you future, and you are not a victim along for the ride. Will it be easy? No, it takes determination and commitment. Always remember, you are completely capable of achieving this goal, so do not become overwhelmed or too afraid to put your heart into succeeding. This is a wonderful feeling, and I want to convey to everyone that the goal of passing the GED test is definitely within your grasp. I passed all five tests, and have now received my GED certificate. I have recently written the five GED tests, (including the essay.) I was just notified of my GED results. I have come to understand how possible it is to achieve the goal you have set your heart to accomplish, how wonderful and powerful determination is, and how liberating success feels. I have a success story to share with everyone. I am here to confirm, like so many others before me, that it can be done. I can relate to how desperately everyone wants to succeed, and how passionately everyone wants to achieve their goal of passing the GED test. Each one of us studying for the GED test share a common bond, we all have intense determination, fierce pride, and the unquestionable ability to accomplish our goals. ![]() I applied for a better job and had 2 interviews and felt I did very well, but when.
